In Sets 1 and 2, each page has one to three lines of text. The text is supported by pictures and predictable patterns making the books in these sets easy reading to enjoy and practice at home. Set 2 introduces the character, Max, as a baby. In another book, Max's birthday is celebrated. Young readers enjoy becoming acquainted with an on-going character.
